So you enjoy a glass of wine or three? And you like to bop as the night wears on?
Get ready to raise your glasses and hit the dancefloor as Delinquente Wine Co is hitting the road to celebrate 10 years.
The festivities will be headlined by UK dance act Hidden Spheres, and supported by a line-up of local DJs and producers.
Aimed at the younger wine-drinking demo, the tour is promoted as “bringing the ultimate wine and dance party” to some unique venues across the country.
Delinquente Wine Co makes minimal intervention wines from southern Italian grape varieties grown in the Riverland.
Think hipster heaven. Small-batch, alternative varieties pet nat and skin contact whites.
"We’ve always aimed to push the boundaries of what a wine producer can be, how our wines are enjoyed, and how they’re seen," says founder and winemaker Con-Greg Grigoriou.
“We feel a strong connection between what we do and the music and arts communities, and this tour is a thrilling way to bring it all together."
Partnering with venues like Si Paradiso in Perth, Wax Music Lounge in Melbourne, and Oddio in Adelaide, the tour will aim to blend high-energy dance music with drinks and food in intimate, eclectic settings.
Hidden Spheres, based in Manchester, has a sound inspired by “Detroit house, crate digging, and old soul records”. That mystifies me but hopefully means something to you. I guess it is nothing like Uriah Heep or Wishbone Ash.
