Amora hotel brand invests in Brisbane

Farewell to the Novotel Brisbane - and hello to Amora Brisbane.

The Thai-owned Amora group is the new owner and has spent $30 million on remodelling the CBD property.

The hotel joins the group’s expanding portfolio of six owned and operated hotels and resorts under the Amora brand in Australia and Thailand.

Amora Brisbane is a short stroll from Central Railway Station, The Queen St Mall, Treasury Casino and Suncorp Stadium; and a five-minute ride from the entertainment precincts of Howard Smith Wharves and Fortitude Valley.

The re-branding comes as the 2032 Brisbane Olympics will place the city under the global spotlight.

“As a company, we are looking to cement our footprint as a five-star hospitality group in Australia and Thailand, and we will achieve that by expanding in key cities in Asia Pacific and in developing south-east Asian destinations,” says owner and director Earp Siriphatrawan.

“Our goal is to have 12 hotels in the region within the next five years.

“Amora Brisbane is certainly a feather in our cap and we couldn’t be happier about the full potential of the property in the years to come.”

The 296-key Amora Brisbane features 11 refurbished conference and events spaces spanning 1,148 sqm; an elevated outdoor pool and deck, a fitness studio and a sauna.
