So you really love your ricotta cheese?

There are food festivals and there are niche food festivals.

A festival dedicated to ricotta cheese is next level niche.

The That’s Amore Cheese Ricotta Festival returns to Melbourne on March 26, promising "a day dedicated to ricotta with food and drink pop-ups, local producers, entertainment, DJs and kids’ activities".

The event will be held from 10am-4pm at the That's Amore headquarters in Thomastown.

The event's supporters include Puopolo Artisan Salumi and Pizzini Wines.

Fresh ricotta calda (hot ricotta, above) will be served to guests on arrival, while the menu includes gnocchi sorrentina. There will also be porchetta rolls and burrata, along with freshly filled cannoli from Cannoleria.

Pizzini Wines offerings will include an Aperol Spritz, a Brachetto cocktail (Brachetto, ice, fresh ginger, lime, mint and strawberry) and a selection of wines from their wine bar, as well as beers from the Stomping Ground beer stand.

A producer marketplace will showcase a range of gourmet offerings.

General admission early bird tickets cost $8 until the end of February, and will then be $10.

Tickets are available from https://ricotta-festival-2023.eventbrite.com.au and you can get more details at https://thatsamorecheese.com.au/
