We chose this unassuming osteria because it highlighted the names of the farmers that raise its key produce on the menu of daily specials - always a good sign of a focus on quality.
We were rewarded with 24-month matured proscuitto and a delicious veal tartare served with lashings of fresh truffles as starters (top images).
Then came two pasta dishes, paired with a house Valpolicella: a fettucine with beef ragu, and a fettucine with crab meat.
Then came two pasta dishes, paired with a house Valpolicella: a fettucine with beef ragu, and a fettucine with crab meat.
Both came with delicious bread to mop up the sauces - and the prices were more than reasonable.
You can sit inside or on the shady terrace - and the service is keen and helpful.
Certainly our best meal in Verona so far.
