A taste of Greece is coming to a Sydney Harbour island

Can't get to Mykonos or Hydra? Fear not, a Greek Island is coming to Sydney Harbour early next year. 

Brought to you by the crew behind the popular Wine Island festival, Greek Island will be a three-day holiday festival transforming Clark Island into an oasis of blue and white.

From Friday, March 25 to Sunday, March 27, Greek Island will showcase a line-up of Greek cuisine, imported wine, beer, spirits and bespoke cocktail bars. 

There will also be live Greek music and dancing, a spa for relaxation and a Mykonos seaside stage to with some of Australia’s best DJs.

The Mediterranean vibes will start as soon as all jetsetters board the ferries to travel over seas to Greek Island, receiving a glass of Amuse Rosé from Valley of the Muses, for their short journey.

Once on the island, they can enjoy one of several Greek Tavernas lining the foreshore including from chef Peter Conistis (Alpha) Kazzi Beach Greek, East 33 oysters, Lambda, Lookoomania and more. 

An abundance of fried calamari and school prawns, grilled octopus, spanakopita, souvlaki, gyros, loukoumades and other epicurean delights are promised by organisers. 

Complimentary live cooking demos will also be on offer while Greek beverages will be curated by Drink Greek, including premium Greek wines. 

Bringing the world-famous day party vibes of Mykonos will be DJs Tigerlily, Jolyon Petch and  Discovery (Daft Punk Tribute).

Packages to Greek Island begin at $99 (plus booking  processing fees) for the Premium Economy experience which includes return transfers to and from King Street Wharf/Clark Island along with a welcome drink on the forward journey, a branded beach tote bag and Greek Island-branded wine/cocktail tumbler.

For $199 (plus booking and processing fees) the Business Class Experience includes return transfers to and from King Street Wharf/Clark Island, along with a welcome drink on the forward journey, a branded beach tote bag, a Greek Island-branded wine/cocktail tumbler and a Greek Island beach towel by Infamous Swim. Business Class guests can also access the Corfu Beach Club which features a Greek cocktail bar complete with complimentary ouzo & wine tastings, along with luxe sun loungers and furnishings. Business Class guests will also receive a meal voucher to use on the island.

Guests can choose to travel first class and book a Private Waterfront Cabana for $3300. These cabanas include a private host/waiter, luxe furnishings, two complimentary Oz Jet Boat rides, gourmet shared mezze plate by chef Conistis, a bottle of Ouzo, 10 x Greek beers and 2 x bottles of Greek wine. A First Class cabana booking includes tickets for up to 10 guests.
