Discover an epic river cruise through 14 countries

If you are a fan of river cruising you might be tempted by what is being billed as the ultimate rive cruise. 

AmaWaterways has unveiled an ambitious voyage cruising through no less than 14 countries, Travel Mole reports.

The Seven River Journey Through Europe itinerary is billed as the longest river cruise journey ever. It is made possible by connecting the river itineraries of four different ships travelling from France to the Balkans. 

There are 130 complimentary shore excursions including visits to 17 UNESCO World Heritage Sites, and the price It starts from $US25,999 per person for double occupancy, plus port charges.

The voyage will stop at iconic cities along the rivers as well as off-the-beaten-path  towns and villages. 

Guests will savor regional foods and wines (both on board and ashore), and be able to experience different cultures, traditions, architecture, landscapes and languages.

Trip highlights include sailing through Paris on the Seine, visiting the history D-Day beaches of Normandy, and visiting Lahneck Castle in Germany.

Active travellers will be able to choose from a wide range of outdoor biking and hiking options. In addition, an onboard wellness host will offer core strengthening, stretching and yoga classes (no thanks).

Guests will sail on four different vessels, each one on different specified rivers. 

AmaLyra will sail the Seine River, AmaKristina will sail the Saône and Rhône rivers, AmaPrima will sail the Rhine, Moselle and Main rivers and AmaVerde will sail the Danube River. Transitions will be seamless with one dedicated cruise manager throughout the entire journey. 

Over the past decade, river cruises have become increasingly popular with travelers because of their comfort,  convenience and mostly-inclusive pricing, Forbes reports.

Cruise lines oversee all logistics including accommodations, meals, tours, entertainment, baggage handling and local transportation. On this one-of-a-kind cruise, the line will arrange seamless luggage transfers between ships, and assure that each ship is ready to go once guests arrive at the port.

Scheduled to set sail on June 1, 2023, the 46-night voyage will carry 144 guests through 14 different countries: France, Switzerland, Germany, Belgium, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Austria, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Croatia, Serbia, Bulgaria, and Romania.
