Hotel bargains abound in Asia

With aircraft increasingly deserted; flights more and more empty and hotel rooms easier to come by then at any time in recent memory, there are going to be some terrific bargains available for those willing and able to travel.

Hotel chains, desperate to retain market share as the coronavirus spreads, will be offering more and more deals, particularly in cities under threat.

These deals might involve deep discounts; or special offers.

Sofitel Kuala Lumpur Damansara (below) is a 312-room luxury hotel with close proximity to Kuala Lumpur Sentral.

It is offering a free spa treatment or massage every day during your stay - a very nice perk.

Rooms are based from approximately $230 for double occupancy, or $175 singe occupancy, including daily accommodation and breakfast and one-hour massage treatment daily. The offer is valid between March 1 and December 31.

In nearby Singapore, hotel prices are as low as they have been for a decade.

At Novotel Singapore on Stevens (below), an urban resort with two 35-metre swimming pools and a 24-hour gym, prices start from around $180 per night plus taxes.

That price includes complimentary buffet breakfast for up to two adults, high speed wifi internet access and a complimentary shuttle bus service to and from Orchard Road.

The hotel has 24-hour room service, 24-hour laundromat, access to 24-hour gym, 35-metre infinity pool and lap pool and a choice of 11 dining outlets.

The offer is available until January 1, 2021. For bookings visit all.accor.com/9543.
