Tasmania gets a new micro brewery with a mining theme

Miner's Gold Brewery is a micro brewery established in the old chief engineers house in what was once part of the Beaconsfield Gold Mine in the Tamar Valley.

The space has been restored with the addition of a micro brewery and commercial kitchen offering food and beer combinations. It is adjacent to the Beaconsfield Mine and Heritage Centre.
The menu is based on a paddock-to-plate theme supporting local producers.

Visitors can view and see the brewery in operation and can participate in interactive tours with a tour guide as well as tasting the raw ingredients and gaining an understanding of beer manufacturing with a tasting paddle option.

The bar offers a rotating season range of different beers on tap.

When work is completed Miner's Gold will be open Wednesday to Sunday, but for now is open at weekends only 10am-5pm.
