Tasmania actively promotes its clean and green image, but is not so hot on investigating environmental catastrophes.
The notably limp-wristed Environment Protection Authority is investigating the impact of the spill on the environment, while TasWater is examining what happened at its Macquarie Point Sewage Treatment Plant on Sunday.
TasWater acting regional services department manager Brendan Hannigan said the results from water sampling would be released on Tuesday.
The latest shambles saw six million litres of untreated sewage and storm water spill into Hobart's River Derwent after a power failure at the city's treatment plan (below).

Ten million litres of sewage was pumped into the River Derwent from the same treatment plant on December 31 last year. That incident was caused by a 24-hour failure in the plant's effluent chlorination process.
No action yet from the Tasmanian Government over TasWater's continued failures and no statement from Minister for the Environment Peter Gutwein, or Macquarie Point chief executive Mary Massina. Situation normal.
Don't say anything, though. Gutwein is a qualified black belt instructor in the Korean Martial Art of Tae Kwon Do.
