A special dinner treat with a glass or two of Grange

Fancy a decadent weekend by the sea with some of Australia's finest wines?

How about a Penfolds Grange by the Sea dinner on Friday, May 3, at the chic The Anchorage resort at Port Stephens.

The evening features a six-course Australian inspired menu by resident chef Michael Jenkins, in the waterfront surrounds at the all-new Hamptons-inspired hotel and spa, which has recently undergone an impressive multi-million-dollar refurbishment.

After a welcome glass of Veuve Clicquot and some canapes, dishes will be matched to Penfolds wines, including two vintages of Grange and the newly released Penfold’s prized and rare XO Brandy.

The dinner comes with a price tag of $499 per person but places are extremely limited.

Think dishes like king prawn linguini with gremolata, bisque and sorrel paired with Penfolds 2017 Bin 311A, and Jacks Creek Wagyu sirloin, charred shallot, asparagus and shiso with Penfolds 1996 Grange.

Diners are being invited to spend the night or the weekend.

A two-night stay including dinner and wines, along with two nights accommodation for two in a waterfront Anchorage room, a signature sparkling wine breakfast for two daily, and a casual two-course dinner for two at The Galley Kitchen on Saturday night costs from $1799 per couple.
