Help Maeve aid pets in need over the Christmas holidays

Maeve, the resident meeter and greeter at Tasmanian vineyard Wobbly Boot, is calling on  wine and animal lovers to help out her animal friends.

This year she has partnered up with A Paw Up as part of Operation Santa Paws.

A Paw Up is putting together and distributing around 500 Christmas gift packs for pets belonging to those doing it tough. These include clients of Colony 47, Hobart City Mission and Mission Australia who live with a companion animal.

Donated items can be left at Wobbly Boot Vineyard over the next few weekends culminating in a presentation to A Paw Up at Tinsel and Tails Doggy Xmas Party on December 16.

Any of the following items would be greatly appreciated: food, treats or animal toys.

Wobbly Boot is at Campania in the Coal River Valley, north of Hobart. It hosts the annual WineandWoofs fundraiser for animal welfare organisations and all its wines are vegan friendly. Its cellar door welcomes four-legged visitors.

It is open Saturday and Sunday 11am- 4pm and other times by arrangement. See www.wobblybootvineyard.com.au.

If you would prefer to make a cash donation - A Paw Up's bank details are: NAB, BSB 083-004, Account 51 048 5589. If you'd like a receipt please use your email address as a reference.
