Add a little bit of culture to your Hunter wine tasting experience

The Hunter Valley has plenty to attract wine and food lovers, but if you need a further incentive to visit then Sculpture in the Vineyards runs from October 29 to December 4. 

It is the longest-running regional sculpture exhibition in Australia, now celebrating its 14th year and will feature 80 national and international artists and their works displayed in five boutique vineyards of the Wollombi Valley Wine Trail and in the historic Wollombi village - all roads less travelled.

The festival includes degustation tours, artist talks and twilight tours to the local Aboriginal rock art at Mt Yengo, one of the most significant Aboriginal ceremonial locations in NSW. 

Visitors are invited to take a walk through the sculptures, join one of the tours, or sample boutique wines and gourmet food of the valley at lesser-known venues like Undercliff, Stonehurst Cedar Creek, Wollombi Village Wines, Noyce Brothers and Wollombi Wines.  

Step through the doors and continue to the indoor sculpture exhibitions at the Fireshed Gallery, Wollombi Cultural Centre and, in partnership with Cessnock Regional Gallery, Ereignis, a curated exhibition of sculptural practices.

Wollombi Sculpture in the Vineyards is a free public exhibition open 10am–5pm, seven days a week.
