Stars align for Tasmania's sparkling wine weekend

Tasmanian wine lovers (and visitors from interstate) are gearing up for the latest edition of the nation's biggest sparkling wine celebrations.

Effervescence Tasmania, which has been described as one of the best sparkling wine festivals in the world, will celebrate some of the world’s finest sparkling wine and fine food in Launceston and surrounds in November.

Tasmania's Brand Ambassador, Tetsuya Wakudaand fellow chef icon Jacques Reymond will ensure the food is in keeping with the wine.

Tetsuya will be guest chef for a grand degustation dinner on Friday, November 4, and a three-course lunch the following day featuring some of Tasmania’s outstanding produce.

Fellow legendary chef Jacques Reymond will oversee an Essence of Effervescence lunch at historic Quamby Estate at which premium Tasmanian sparkling wine, international fashion and Porsche vehicles will vie for attention.

Leading Tasmanian wine producers will be featured, along with Tasmanian food producers like Huon Aqua salmon and Bruny Island cheese.

Tyson Stelzer, the 2015 International Wine Communicator of the Year will host a Champagne and Tasmanian Sparkling Wine Dinner and lead sparkling master classes together with some of Australia’s leading sparkling winemakers.

Most of the events will be held at the Josef Chromy winery complex at Relbia.
