A sweet treat for art lovers visiting Sydney

Art lovers heading to Sydney for the Archibald Prize exhibition at the Art Gallery of New South Wales from July 16-October 19 are being offered an art-inspired high tea by the Sydney Sofitel Wentworth Hotel.

The Sofitel Sydney Wentworth is the official hotel partner of the portrait prize and executive chef Boris Cuzon has designed an indulgent high tea to be served in an "on theme" gold bevelled picture frame.



The interpretative collection of food-art delicacies is designed to "put fun and imagination back into high tea", with fine art gourmet items including lemon meringue tartlets, mango éclair, vanilla bean panna cotta and home-made scones.

General manager Craig Reaume said: “We’re delighted to continue our long-standing partnership with the Archibald Prize, in a year that marks the 50th anniversary of the Wentworth Hotel and Sofitel’s 11th year working alongside the gallery."

The Archibald High Tea is Priced at $55 per person including Ronnefeldt tea or $75 per person including a glass of Veuve Clicquot. The offer also includes one ticket to the Archibald Prize 2016 at the Art Gallery of New South Wales.
